1964 - 2018

Susan “Shelley” Michelle Skinner, 53, of Topeka, passed away March 7, 2018. She was born on October 11, 1964 in Topeka to Stanley and Carla (Egli) Lowry. She graduated from Washburn Rural High School and attended Washburn University. She married Bruce Kaufman. They divorced. She married Robert “Jack” Skinner in 1991.

She worked in sales as a Mary Kay representative and at several department stores. Shelley loved to travel, especially to the Bahamas, and go to the beach.
She loved to care for her grandchildren and her pets. Coke Zero was her drink of choice!

She is survived by her life partner, Jack; her children: Max Kaufman, Harry Kaufman (Justin), Lindsey Skinner, and Abbey Skinner (Andre), all of Topeka, Kim Vitale (Chris) of Wylie, TX and Kelly Skinner (Kent) of Lee’s Summit, MO; 9 grandchildren: Sebastian, Mason, Olivia, Arlo, Loren, Bailey, Jordyn, Luca and Logan; and her sister, Stacy Ford.

Shelley was preceded in death by her parents and her niece Amanda Cunningham.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene, 3501 SW Wanamaker, Topeka, from 5-7PM on Tuesday, March 13, 2018.
