She was born February 12, 1941, in Lubbock, Texas, the daughter of Carl and Jessie (Poole) Willingham. She was a graduate of Lubbock High School and attended Texas Tech University through 1961.
She was a member of the Western Hills Church, Topeka Country Club, Stormont-Vail Auxiliary and EP Chapter of PEO. She was also a member and Board Chair of ERC and chairwoman of the first new construction ERC Designer Show House in 1993. She also volunteered with various other organizations.
Mary Ann married Jack H. Hamilton on August 4, 1961 in Lubbock, TX. He survives. Other survivors include three sons, Gregory A. (Brenda) Hamilton, Leawood, J. Douglas (Lisa) Hamilton, Topeka, Jeffery C. (Beth) Hamilton, New Port Beach, CA; 7 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with her family, especially attending their sporting events, her volunteer work, gardening and yard work.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 1, 2018 at Fellowship Bible Church, 6800 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66615. A reception will follow at the church. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, is assisting the family.
