Daniel A. Ramirez, 91, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 at the Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center in Topeka.

He was born May 4, 1927 in Topeka, the son of Manuel and Elena (Almaguer) Ramirez.
Daniel was a life-long Topeka resident. He was an Army Veteran during WWII. He was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Daniel married Mary Olivarez on July 9, 1946 in Topeka. She preceded him in death on October 26, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Daniel Ramirez, Jr. and his siblings, Jesus Ramirez, Balthazar Ramirez, Joe Ramirez, George Ramirez and Marina Perez.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Lori (Bryan) Warden, Michelle (Patrick) Hafferman and Danielle (Jim) Anguish, his nephew, Manuel R. (Cyndi) Perez and his niece, Helen (Henry) Florez.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside inurnment services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018 in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 201 NE Chandler St., Topeka, Kansas 66616.
