Mary Frances Johnson, 81, of Topeka, passed away April 7, 2017. Mary was born August 13, 1935, in Cherokee, Oklahoma, the daughter of William Lee Roy and Geneva Holcomb. She married Floyd Johnson September 1, 1956. He survives.
Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, gardening, and her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Topeka.
She is survived by two brothers; daughters, Melinda Schoemaker (Walter) and Nancy McCarter (Michael); grandchildren, Leslie Gerstenkorn (Andrew), Erin Medina (Hector), Collin McCarter, and Sean McCarter; and great-grandson, Cameron Medina.
Private funeral services will be held at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Topeka or the Topeka Rescue Mission.
