Addie Loretta Weaver, 83, of Topeka, passed away May 10, 2018 at her home. She was born to Levi and Cornelia (Byrd) Hopkins at Mobile, Alabama on June 10, 1934. She was raised in Mount Vernon, Alabama. She married Fletcher Weaver in Mississippi in 1952. They moved to Topeka, Kansas in 1969.

Addie worked as a secretary for the cafeteria at French Middle School and was a member of Covenant Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters: Rita Stapleton and Kathleen Henry, both of Topeka, Cornelia Newsom, Donna Wells (Ron), Lorenda Johnston (George), all of Alabama and Patricia Schmidt (Jay) of Mayetta, Kansas; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three siblings: Ollie Taylor, Charlie Hopkins (Lois) and Paul Hopkins (Joan) all of Alabama.

Addie was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Fletcher in 1989 and her siblings: Carl Hopkins, Obra Pharr and Levi Hopkins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Dove Cremations and Funerals-Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota, Topeka, Kansas 66605. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka, Kansas.
