Betty J. Hardy, 87, of Topeka, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Plaza West Regional Health Center. She was born February 22, 1931 in Crawford County, Kansas, one of thirteen children born to Orange and Sallie (Mack) Dean.
Betty was employed by the Menninger Foundation for many years.
Betty married Henry “Tommy” Hardy. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Shirley Jean Nichols on November 29, 2000 and one grandson, Logan Hernandez.on November 29, 1982.
Survivors include their children, Diane Hernandez and Angie (Mark) Foltz, five grandchildren, Leyla, Ariel, Dax, Kyle and Taylor, seven great-grandchildren and her two sisters, Valerie Logan and Molly Dean of Chicago, Illinois.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2018 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Great Lakes Caring Hospice, 3715 SW 29th St., Suite 100, Topeka, Kansas 66614.
