Bonnie Lou “Bon Bon” Smoot, 62, Topeka, died June 3, 2018.

She was born June 29, 1955 in Shaw, MS, the daughter of William H. and Frances I. Commander II.
Bonnie worked at Hobby Lobby for 15 years.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Smoot; children, Joshua Farris, Houston, TX, Teffanie Tillis, Topeka, Misty French, Topeka; 5 step-children, Michael “Shannon” Peasgood (Amy), Fort Polk, LA, Tasha Collins, Woodland, TX, Crystal Peasgood, Houston, TX, Erin Glenn (Jason) Topeka, Robert Smoot (Heaven) St. Joseph, MO; 22 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; siblings, Mary Rogers (Mike), Houston, TX, Terry Commander (Shelly), Magnolia, TX, Rose Davis (Mike), Timpson, TX, Cheryl Culpepper, Springs, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother William “Billy” H. Commander, III.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
