Elizabeth Fern (Miller) Milliken, 98, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018.

She was born May 4, 1920, in Dwight, Illinois, the daughter of Frank Thomas and Rose May (Beiswanger) Miller. She was a graduate of Dwight High School.

Elizabeth was retired from the Menninger Foundation in Topeka.


Elizabeth married Dallas M. Milliken in January of 1941 in Topeka. He preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Joyce G. Heins, Topeka and Sharon L. Crocker, Green Valley, AZ; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eileen Stephenson, Ocala, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Courtney Crocker-Parkin; a grandson, Clifford Heins; and two sisters, Florence Newton and Mildred Jeffries.

Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with family, knitting and reading.

Honoring Elizabeth’s request, cremation is planned. No services are planned. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, is assisting the family.
