Gene L. Rasch, 81, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018.
He was born March 19, 1937, in Perry, Kansas, the son of David A. and Marie (McDermett) Rasch. He was a graduate of Topeka High School.
Gene owned and operated The Headquarters.
He was a member of the Prince Of Peace Lutheran Church, Topeka.
Gene married Janice K. Smith on May 8, 1966 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include two children, Julie (Brian) Bell and Aaron Rasch, all of Topeka; and two grandchildren, Angie and Aaron Michael Rasch.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Twila Puderbaugh; and a brother, Donald Rasch.
Gene enjoyed the history of the Oregon Trail and genealogy.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
