1961 - 2018

James “Jim” Patrick Flynn, 57, Topeka, died peacefully at home on Sunday July 29th, 2018. He was born March 24th, 1961. Jim is survived by his loving wife Paulene Flynn of Topeka, mother Mary Lou Flynn of Lawrence, siblings John (Jami) Flynn, Mary Kay Hansen, Matt Flynn, and children Danielle (Andy) Rash and Tyson Wood (Amanda Lady) and 4 grandchildren.

Jim lived every day with curiosity, passion, and laughter. He was a talented creator and master fabricator with abounding artistic ideas and creativity that overflowed into his career, hobbies and personal life. He collected treasures from the past and made them new again.
Many came to Jim for advice and looked up to him as a mentor. He was kind, demonstrated unconditional love and forgiveness, and saw the best in everyone. He was a fixer. As he aged, people always found ways to repay him.

Jim will be easily remembered for his kind heart, laughter, and many creations. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, best friend, mentor, creator and fixer. He is a friend to an endless list of people and will be missed. Rest in peace #410.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the James Patrick Flynn Memorial Fund. Donations can be made in person at any Envista Credit Union or can be sent to: Envista Credit Union, 3626 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS 66614
