Robert “Bob” Earl Bolan, 66, passed away August 11, 2018 after battling brain cancer. He was born January 29, 1952 in Topeka, Kansas. His parents were Raymond Earl Bolan and Alyce M. (Boles) Bolan. Bob was raised in the East Avondale area of Topeka and attended Topeka public schools, graduating from Highland Park High School in 1970. After graduation he held several different jobs before accepting a permanent position in the maintenance department at the Shawnee County Courthouse where he worked until his retirement.

Bob enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. His home was decorated with many trophies he hunted or caught. He had a large circle of friends and family who shared his interests and enjoyed his company.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Alyce M. Biggs, stepfather Joseph Donald “Don” Biggs, and his father Raymond E. Bolan.

He is survived by his siblings: his brother, Raymond Bolan (Connie), his sister Karen Larson (David) and his brother Richard Bolan (Kathy). He has many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota, Topeka, on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 5-7PM.
