Luin Dean “Lou” Fincham, 66, of Wakarusa, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018.

He was born September 22, 1951, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Morris Elbridge and Lorayne Dorothy (Wichman) Fincham. He attended Topeka West High School. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War.

Lou owned and operated Fincham Service Company in Topeka until 2013.

Lou married Renee Joan Anderson on May 13, 1989 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Colby Fincham, Topeka; a sister, LaJean Christensen, Waterville, KS; a nephew, Greg Christensen, Waterville; three nieces, Alissa Myers, Kansas City, KS, Rachel (Brian) Bishop, Seattle, WA and Bethany Ward, Boise, ID; his sister-in-law, Janice Robinson, Marshall, MN; and his beloved canine companions, Jasper, Lucy, Dottie and Molly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant brother.

Lou enjoyed boating, water skiing, camping, and endless home improvement projects.

Honoring Lou’s request, cremation is planned. A gathering of family and friends will be 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the residence.

Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel is assisting the family.
