Randy D. Davis, 60, of Meriden, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018.

He was born December 6, 1957, in Iola, Kansas and was raised by John and Theresa Davis. He was a 1975 graduate of Silver Lake High School.

Randy was employed by the Menningers Foundation for 18 years.

Randy married Carmen Lane in Topeka. They later divorced. He married Rebecca Kay Frederickson on January 24, 1998 in Topeka, KS. She survives. Other survivors include five children, Mandy Hug, Nick Davis, Morgan (Anthony) Sanchez, Lucas Davis and Kole Davis, all of Topeka; four grandchildren, Brandon Hug, Seth Hug, Brianna Hug and Aiden Sanchez; three brothers, Bill (Laura) Davis, Garnett, KS, Don (MaryAnn) Davis, Silver Lake, KS and Fred (Sue) Davis, Waverly, KS; and a sister, Brenda (Steve) Bickford, Ozawkie, KS.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Randy loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, singing and listening to country music, the outdoors, sports and was an avid K.C. Chiefs, Royals and K-State fan. He enjoyed working in his garage and was a handy-man. He was a friend to everyone and didn’t know a stranger.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Silver Lake Cemetery, Silver Lake, Kansas.
