Nona A. Bally, 91, Topeka, passed away Friday, October 5th, 2018.

Nona was born March 29, 1927 in Pawnee, MO, the daughter of Benjamin and Anna (Cook) Pierson. She attended Ridgeway High School in Ridgeway, MO.

Nona married John Bally on November 22, 1947, and moved to Topeka in 1952. John passed away on December 26, 2016. She is survived by daughters, Sue Baxter of Overland Park, KS and Kathy Hollis (Whitt) of Santa Barbara, CA; and grandchildren, Stephanie Booth (Ernie) of Seattle, WA, Meghan Hollis (Alex) of Eugene, OR, and Trey Hollis of New York City, NY.

She was a faithful servant of God at Grace Cathedral. Nona was a member of the Altar Guild, served as President of The Daughters of the King and worked as an office volunteer in the church for many years. She enjoyed traveling the world, reading about history, designing floor plans, and spending time with family and friends.

A celebration of Nona’s life will be held at Grace Cathedral on Monday, October 8th, 2018 at 3:30PM. A private inurnment service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Cathedral.
