Carolyn was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Perry.
Carolyn married James L. Barger on June 25, 1954 in Stuggart, Arkansas. He survives. Other survivors include their children, Steve (Lisa) Barger of Burlingame, Kansas, Brook (Faron) Moore of Topeka and her sister, Linda Weatherley of Topeka.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her two brothers, Norman Weatherley and Bill Weatherley.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Perry. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery southeast of Topeka. Carolyn will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave.
Memorial contributions may be given to the First Missionary Baptist Church of Perry, 106 N. Elm St., Perry, Kansas 66073 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3625 SW 29th St., Ste. 102, Topeka, Kansas 66614.
