Christine Marlae Huske Barnes, 68, Topeka, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018.
Marlae was born April 18, 1950 in Topeka, the daughter of Kenneth S. and Margaret R. (Akers) Huske. She graduated from Topeka West High School in 1968 and received her Bachelor’s degree from Washburn University.
She was employed at Wheelan’s Lumber for 20 years and later in Customer Services at Blue Cross & Blue Shield for over 20 years, retiring in 2014.
Marlae married Raynard Barnes on September 19, 2008. He survives. Other survivors include her mother; and sister, Debbie Davies, both of Topeka. She was preceded in death by her father; and brother, Greg Huske.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial service will be held at a later date
.
