Gerald J. Siscoe, 78, of Berryton, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at his home with his wife of 58 years and their children at his side. He was born December 20, 1939, in Bonner Springs, Kansas, the son of Ernest Fayette and Jennie Carrie (Hubbard) Siscoe.

Gerald was a 1957 graduate of DeSoto High School, DeSoto, Kansas and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Ottawa University, Ottawa, Kansas. He was employed by Sears and Roebuck Department Store for 30 years and the State of Kansas for 10 years before retiring to focus on his wooden holiday crafts.

Gerald married Edna Marie “Eddie” Stickney on August 6, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri. She survives of the home. Other survivors include three children, Geni (Jeff) Cooper, Berryton, Denita “Dee” Siscoe, Springfield, Missouri and Gerald Jr. “Jerry” (Sherry) Siscoe, Leawood, Kansas; six grandchildren, Jordan (Camri), Jessica (Patrick), Jarod, Lilly Grace, Nicholas and Nathan; two great-grandchildren, Blakely and Juliette; and four sisters, Jewel Mullins, New Mexico, Zelda Jewett, Shawnee, Kansas, Gladys Bowlin, DeSoto, Kansas, and Nettie Lochner, Olathe, Kansas; and a brother, Richard Siscoe, DeSoto, Kansas.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2018 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave., Topeka, Kansas. Gerald requests everyone attending wear yellow. Burial will follow at Lynn Creek Cemetery. Gerald will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Berryton United Methodist Church, 7010 SE Berryton Rd, Berryton, Kansas 66409 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
