Elizabeth “Ann” Nash Driss, 88, of Topeka, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018.

She was born August 6, 1930, in Amarillo, Texas, the daughter of Otto and Jesse Elizabeth "Betsy" (Garner) Nash. She was a graduate of Topeka High School and received a Master’s Degree in French. She was an alum of Washburn University, Kansas University and the Sorbonne University in Paris, France.

Ann served as Head of the Foreign Language Department for USD 501 School District at Topeka. She later taught French at Kansas State University, retiring in 1995.

She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority. She received the Outstanding Teachers Award through Kansas State University in 1972.

Survivors include her daughter, Ann "Liz" Elizabeth Dennis, Topeka; two granddaughters, Ann “Annie” Elizabeth Dennis, Los Angeles, CA and Natalie Garner Dennis, Paris, France; and her brother, William “Mike” Michael Nash, Pacheco, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Jerry, Joseph “Joe” Robert, Thomas “Tom” Hamilton and James “Jim” Eastland Nash.
