Joyce was born October 7, 1933 in Lawrence, the daughter of George D. and Lucy E. (Corwin) Peck.
She lived most of her life in Topeka and graduated from Topeka High School in 1951.
She worked as a clerk for the Santa Fe Railroad for 15 years. Later she cashiered at Hanover Pancake House, Rosa's Mexican Restaurant and finally at the Capital Plaza Gift shop, retiring in ???
Survivors include a son, Larry (Verna) Diven, Meriden; daughters, Sandra L. Diven, Prescott, AZ, Tammy A. (Bruce) Brumbaugh, Topeka; 4 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Phyllis Knight; and son-in-law, Jerry Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society.
