Warren L. Hallgren, Topeka, formerly of Lyndon, passed away at his home January 3, 2019.

He was born December 25, 1940 in Saginaw, MI, the son of Lloyd L. and Ruth Alta (Bell) Hallgren. He moved to Kansas at the age of 4 and graduated from Republic High School in 1959. On June 23, 1963 he married Evelyn Masenthin at Zion Lutheran Church in Vassar, KS.

He attended Barber School in Liberal KS and worked as a Barber in St. Marys and Republic. He served in the Kansas Army National Guard and was activated and sent Vietnam in 1969.

He worked in construction most of his life until he retired in 2012 due to health problems.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Max Hallgren and Brother-In-Law Merlyn Farlee.

He will forever be missed by his wife of 55 years, Evelyn; daughter, Lisa Anschutz, Lyndon; son, Kevin (Nancy) Hallgren, Lyndon; sister, Jean Farlee, Republic; brother, Veryle “Bud” (Darlene) Hallgren, Topeka; Sister-In-Law Shary Hallgren, Osage City; grandchildren, Logan, Justin & Jordan Hallgren, Wyatt & Cody Anschutz; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services are set for January 19 with visitation at 10am and service at 11am at Mt. Pleasant Community Church in Lyndon. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
