In Memory Of
Anita Rose Rieb
1946 - 2019

Anita Rose Rieb, 72, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 with her family by her side. She was born April 9, 1946 in Kingman, Kansas, the daughter of the late Clem and Rose (Bayer) Hageman. She was the youngest of nine children, survived by siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Family was the pivotal essence of Anita’s life; she was completely devoted to her four children; Anthony (Rebecca) Long, Kimberly (Jim) Mathewson, Karla (Don) Alejos, and Kenneth (Wendi) Rieb and a loving grandmother to Jessie, Matthew, Shelby, Breann, Jacob, Jerynn, Bradley, Austin and Lexi. She is a proud great-grandmother of “the babies” Willowynn, Waverly, Avalon and Artemas.

The family wishes to thank those who have extended their Prayers and emotional support, and to the staff at The Kelly House of Meriden for their constant care. We are grateful for each one of you.

Anita will be forever remembered for her caring heart and her unconditional love.

As per Anita's wishes, cremation has taken place and no memorial services are planned. Private inurnment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date.

Little we knew that morning
God was to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories,
Your love still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
