Judy Kay (Anderson) Brown, 78, of Berryton, left this world for her Eternal Home on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born May 15, 1940 in Topeka, the daughter of William T. and A. Sue (Fetterhoof) Anderson. Her childhood was spent in Silver Lake where she graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1958.

Judy worked for the Kansas House of Representatives from 1968 to 1976. She then worked for Senator Robert Dole from 1976 to 1996. She actively campaigned for him in his 1996 Presidential Bid. Following this, she worked for the Kansas State Department of Commerce, retiring in 2006.

Judy married Larry C. Cook in 1959 and they later divorced. She married Donald Brown, Jr. in 1992. She had first met Don when both were students in high school. They met again at a dance, something they both loved to do. The reunion proved to be a happy one for them. They loved entertaining family and friends. On Holidays, their home was an “Open House” for all.

Survivors include her husband, Don of the home. Other survivors include three children; Larry Cook, Jerry Cook and Lisa Harris, three step-children; Donald Brown III, Cindy Minshull and Darryl Brown, 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister; Patricia Kratina, sister-in-law; Sharon Walker and many other family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private inurnment will take place in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
