Nellie retired as the head cook at Berryton Elementary School. She was a member of the Berryton United Methodist Church where she was active with the Ruth Circle. She was also a member of the Richland American Legion Post No. 391 Women's Auxiliary Group, the VA Stroke Support Group and the TopKan Twirlers Square Dance Club.
Nellie married Richard F. "Dick" Angle on July 24, 1953 at the Richland EUB Church in Richland, Kansas. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2005. She was also preceded in death by one son; George Davidson, one grandson; Ted Pressgrove and her two sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include their children; Nancy Pressgrove of Topeka, Elizabeth (Quentin) Keeling of Olathe, three grandchildren; Cindy (Dave) Buchanan, Chelsea (Nathan) Wilden and Abigail Keeling, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2019 at Berryton United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Nellie will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Berryton United Methodist Church, 7010 SE Berryton Rd., Berryton, Kansas 66409.
