Raymond R. Drennon, 96, Topeka, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019 at Midland Hospice House.

Ray was born September 20, 1922 in Topeka, the son of William R. and Lula (McCorkle) Drennon. He attended Topeka Public Schools.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was employed as a Stock Clerk with the Santa Fe Railroad for over 33 years, retiring in 1982.

He was a 50 year member of Masonic Lodge #51 A.F. & A.M.

Ray married Nona Mae Beach on May 27, 1949 in Topeka. His wife of 70 years survives. Other survivors include their children, Robert (Joyce) Drennon, Wichita, Alan Drennon, Topeka, Richard Drennon, Effingham, Mary Ann Kenyon, Topeka; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 2 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers; and grandsons, Barry and Travis Drennon.

Cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospital Travel Fund, C/o Arab Shrine, 1305 S. Kansas Ave, Topeka, KS 66612 or the Highland Park United Methodist Church, 2914 S. E. Michigan, Topeka, KS 66605.
