Donna Lee Jamar, Ph.D. 85, of Emporia, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019.
She was born February 2, 1934, in Mulberry, Kansas, the daughter of Emile and Emma (Segna) Jamar. She was a graduate of Mulberry High School and received her Bachelor and Master’s Degree from Pittsburg State University and her Doctorate in Education from Kansas State University.
Donna was a professor of Education and a member of The Didde Catholic Campus Center at Emporia State University.
Survivors include two nieces, Carol S. Hucke, Parsons, KS, Debra A. Stevens, Denver, CO and, a nephew, Michael O. Jamar, Olathe, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Emile Albert Jamar of Parsons, KS and Maxine Corrine Stevens of Denver, CO.
Honoring her request, cremation is planned. A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 10, 2019 at The Didde Catholic Campus Center at Emporia, Kansas. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel in Topeka is assisting the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Didde Center.
