Ann Pauline (Magill) Smith, 82, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019.

She was born August 27, 1936, in Streator, Illinois, the daughter of Paul D. and Irma (Seymour) Magill. She was a graduate of Humboldt High School, Humboldt, Kansas and received her Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from Mt. Carmel School of Nursing in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Ann was a Registered Nurse and later a Case Manager for St. Francis Hospital before retiring.

She was a member of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Topeka and a 40 year member of AA. She was co-founder of Topeka Area Continuity of Care and a member of the National Nurses Association.

Ann married Neil D. Arnold on December 28, 1957 in Humboldt, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1970. She married Norman C. “Corky” Smith on April 25, 1980 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2014. Survivors include two children, Julie (Larry) Hayward, Topeka and Alan (Vickie) Arnold, Belton, MO; three step-children, Price Smith, Martha Smith, both of Topeka and Jeff (Michelle) Smith of California; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy (Dale) Daniels; and two brothers, Chuck (Mary) Magill and Jim (Barb) Magill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Brian Arnold; and a sister, Jane Kelly.

Ann enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, cooking, especially for the Sunday Lunch Bunch and walking her dog every day.

Honoring her request, cremation is planned. A private family graveside ceremony will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
