Andrew Lee “Andy” Conklin, Sr., 77, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2019.
He was born November 18, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of George Washington Conklin, Sr. and Beatrice (Weeks) Conklin.
Andy was employed by Stevenson Company, Inc. in Topeka until retiring.
He was a member of a Catholic Church and Roofing Local Union No. 20.
Survivors include four children, Andrew Lee Conklin, Jr., Tonganoxie, KS, Betty A. (Bob) Sebaste, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Kenny J. Conklin, Tonganoxie, KS and Keith J. Conklin, Topeka; six grandchildren, Xaviera Conklin, Erica L. Conklin, Andrew L. Conklin III, Brianna T. Conklin, Rachel Marie Sebaste, Cassiti Roberts, and Kennedy Conklin; four great-grandchildren, Jordan Huntington, Justin Huntington, Kayleigh Huntington and Addyson Katz; his brother, Rick A. Conklin, Ft. Pierce, FL; and his loving companion, Bambi.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Reece Wright-Conklin; and his brother, George Conklin, Jr.
Andy enjoyed camping, water skiing, bowling and playing Bingo.
Cremation is planned. No services are scheduled. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel is assisting the family.
