Ronald O. Brunsvold, 82, Warrensburg, MO, formerly of Topeka, passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 at a care center in Warrensburg.

He was born September 14, 1937 in Worth County, Iowa, the son of Timen and Alice (Johnson) Brunsvold. He graduated from Northwood High School in 1955 and attended Waldorf Junior College studying Mechanical Drafting.

Following graduation, Ron served in the U.S. Army. Afterwards, he returned home to Northern Iowa to farm with his dad. Shortly after returning, Ron met Susan Evans and they were married on July 5, 1969 in Milwaukee, WI. Together they raised their family on farms in Iowa and Missouri before moving to Topeka to stay.

Ron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was always a farmer at heart. Ron enjoyed reading and always had a good story to share. He was a longtime member of Topeka Bible Church and enjoyed the time he spent with friends from the Koinonia Sunday School class and various Bible studies.

His wife of 43 years died April 1, 2013. Other survivors include their children, Kirsti Brunsvold of Warrensburg, MO, Robert (Sara) Brunsvold of Mission, KS and Corey (Jennifer) Brunsvold of San Antonio, TX: seven grandchildren, Zachary, Ethan, Luke, Elli, Noah, Annika and Krista; and brothers, Jerry and Arlee Brunsvold. He was preceded in death by his parents; a twin brother.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Topeka Bible Church. Inurnment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
