Gary Edwin Viers, 76, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at a Topeka hospital. He was born April 29, 1943 in Topeka, the son of Edwin Delos and Charity Florella (Herndon) Viers.
Gary was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad for 41 years before retiring in 2003. He was an active member of Town & Country Christian Church.
Gary married Judy Eileen Gardner on April 14, 1963 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Wendy (William) Muir of New Orleans, LA, Debbie Viers of Topeka and one brother, Ronald Viers of Carbondale, Kansas and one niece, Yvonne (Joe) Perry of Auburn, Kansas.
Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2019 at Town & Country Christian Church. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
