He graduated from St Nicholas Elementary and Atchison County Community High School in Effingham, KS. Shortly after high school he joined the Navy for four active years and 21 years in the reserves. While serving in the reserves, he was employed by the Yellow Cab and Hertz Rental Car Company. He worked for them for 48 years as a driver and dispatcher.
He is survived by Mitzie Tyree (Doug), Ralph H. Reichle, (Katie), Heather Dirk (Lance) and three grandchildren, Sean Lucas, Jacob and Lauren.
He is survived by five siblings, Virgil Reichle, Overland Park, Nancy McCune, Grace Reichle and Steve Reichle of Topeka and Sally Friend of Horton, Kansas. He also was pre-deceased by five siblings; Virginia Nolan, Doris Powers, Delbert Reichle, Lois Stallings and Kenneth Reichle.
Ralph was a larger than life character – he was strong, kind, never met a stranger and ALWAYS wanted to make people laugh. He was special to many people and he will be missed.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Mount Hope Cemetery and Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road.
