Robert L. “Bob” Taylor, Sr., 82, Topeka, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 at a local hospital.

Bob was born April 14, 1937 in Topeka, the son of Samuel and Helen (Adams) Taylor. He attended schools in Topeka.

He was employed by Ed Marling’s Furniture for over 30 years, retiring in 2000.

Bob married Mattie Chandler in 1955. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Alice Taylor-Marrs, Las Vegas, NV, Robert Leon Taylor, Jr, Topeka, Alfred Leon Taylor, Topeka, John R. Taylor, Topeka, Clara A. Taylor, Elwood, Helena Anderson, Topeka, Roberta K. Taylor, Topeka, Keith Taylor, Lawrence, Mattie Harvey, Topeka, Michelle E. Taylor, Topeka; numerous grandchildren; 5 great-grandchild; brother, William Taylor, Los Angeles, CA; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
