Ardell Reutzel, 83, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020.

He was born September 12, 1936 in Sutton, Nebraska, the son of Lloyd and Edith (Pontine) Reutzel. He graduated from Sutton High School in Sutton, Nebraska.

Ardell was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, of Topeka.

Ardell married Lillian Huebert on February 7, 1958 in Aurora, Nebraska.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Reutzel of Lincoln, Nebraska; his daughters, Deborah (Dale) Reutzel-Williams of Topeka, Kansas and Roberta (Bruce) Fouts of Westmoreland, Kansas; his sons, Paul (Shannon) Reutzel of Prairie Village, Kansas and Mark (Annette) Reutzel of Topeka, Kansas; a daughter-in-law, Wanda Reutzel of Topeka, Kansas; a sister, Norma (Ron) King of Trumbull, Nebraska; a sister-in-law, Glenda Reutzel of Norfolk, Nebraska; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Carrol (Pat) Reutzel, Harlan Reutzel, Gary Reutzel and a grandson, Levi Fouts.

Ardell enjoyed his family, socializing with everyone he would come in contact with and good food.

Honoring Ardell’s request, cremation is planned. A Gathering of Remembrance will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2020 at First Southern Baptist Church, 1912 SW Gage, Topeka, Kansas.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Southern Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, 1912 SW Gage, Topeka, Kansas 66604.
