Awe so sorry another Norton panther. Got his wings

My Uncle Larry was a good, loving and brave man. From being raised by two strong, loving parents Bill and Mary Dunning (including his World War II-serving father) to serving in the Vietnam War, Larry Dunning was undoubtedly a source of inspiration for his family. His youngest sister and my mother, Karen, described him as a good brother. From my experience, Uncle Larry was a good uncle. I can faintly recall calling him Uncle "Fairy," which I am still reminded of to this very day. His marriage to my Aunt Cindy on what was his father's 52nd birthday, and 22 years to the day before my own birth, was a dedicated one to the very end. She undoubtedly cared for him, supported him as he did for her throughout their marriage. I wish I could have seen him a lot more, but I look forward to seeing him with my other family members in God's Kingdom to come. This song I dedicate to Uncle Larry comes from the film "Quest for Camelot," which he gave me when I was young and that left an impact on my childhood, as this faith-filled song leaves on my adulthood. God bless you and I'll miss you.
Love Always from your nephew,

Oh, I’m so sad. I just learned of this today. Larry and I worked side by side at SafeTstep in Payless. He was THE original shoe guy. He laid the foundation of a great business within a corporation. He took Safetstep from basically nothing to about $70m through hard work, travel and an ability to build great relationships. His passion for the customer was unequaled in our business and I learned so much from him. I wish the family only the best. My prayers go to each of you. Matt

I want to thank him for his service to our great country America and glad he was home safe. I'm so greatful for the love he shared and he will always be remembered by his compassion and gentleness. Thank you to our Lord that I am part of this wonderful family. You and uncle Larry are deeply loved

My heart breaks for you losing your sweetheart. He was the best big brother a little sister could ever have. You made a wonderful life together and we will always celebrate him and his embrace of living a life to please everyone. What a wonderful example of a loving man he was. I am so grateful to our Lord that he was my big brother and nothing will ever change that! Love to you Cindy!

I had the great pleasure of working with Larry several times. He was a man of wicked humor, tremendous humanity, and a “what else can I do” attitude.
His care and support of others was a beacon of light in some of the toughest times.
One of his favorite roles was as a facilitator in the Culture Change Process (Teamwork’s) at Payless. He was so very proud of his part and making a major difference in so many people that he served in that role.
My heartfelt condolences to his family. Life was not always fair to Larry, but Larry was ALWAYS fair to those around him.

I will miss seeing the love Larry always had in his eyes for Cindy. Even if he couldn’t speak the words, there was never a doubt how much he loved his sugar pie honey bunch.

I am remembering all of the fun times we had living in South Bend, as neighbors. I am picturing you both in my living room celebrating Bethany's and Larry's birthday together on December 7. I gather from the other posts that you two were great neighbors in all the places that you lived. I can still see my daughter, Emily, riding her bike in a circle in our driveway while Larry was outside in the back yard and hear her singing at the top of her lungs, "I yuv you Yarry!" over and over again. It seems like so long ago and also just yesterday. Larry and Cindy, you were so important to our family and so helpful and fun!!! I am grateful for this friendship. Sending love and peace to you and KAOYF.
