Shirley H. (Fowler) Norman, 93, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020.

She was born February 20, 1927, in Ozawkie, Kansas, the daughter of John and Lucy (Metzger) Fowler.

She graduated from Ozawkie Rural High School in 1945. She was a homemaker.

Shirley married James F. Norman in January 1945. He preceded her in death in May 1989.

Survivors include a son, James (Julie) Norman of Topeka; a daughter, Kathleen (David) Cathcart of Holton, KS; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ruth Fowler and Vera Rise and a brother, Bert Fowler.

Shirley enjoyed cooking, sewing and playing cards.

Honoring Shirley’s request, cremation is planned. No services are planned at this time due to Covid-19 circumstances. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka is assisting the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka Rescue Mission, Inc. PO Box 8350 Topeka, KS 66608-0350.
