Clinton H. Thompson, 87, Topeka, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020.

Clinton was born August 1, 1932 in Topeka, the son of George and Jesse (Long) Thompson. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954. While in the Army he was a Boxer.

He was employed as a Nursing Assistant and Licensed Mental Health Tech at the V.A. Hospital for 35 years, retiring in 1989.
He enjoyed watching sports, going to Boxing matches, and fishing.

Clinton married Patricia Wilson. They later divorced. He married Betty Kerns in 1980. She survives. Other survivors include children, Clinton (Charlotte) Thompson, Jr., Clinese (Maxwell) Thompson-Brown, Mario (Jenni) Guerrero II, Lydia “Missy” Guerrero; 8 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Londa Thompson, and 6 siblings.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Private family inurnment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
