Eva Jo “Speedy” Dugan, 66, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020.

She was born January 11, 1954, in Independence, Kansas, the daughter of Arbra and Alreta Hazel (Elliott) Allen.

Survivors include her husband, James Lewis; three daughters, Shavonne Jones, Michelle Dugan and Amber Lewis (Jacob Fonseca); five sons, Kenneth Dugan, David Dugan, Don Dugan (Kim), Cory Lewis, Mandell Lewis; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; five sisters, Hazel Owens, Arzetta Gullick, Verna Quarles (Melvin), Clara Allen and Roberta Hall (Ray) ; and one brother, John Allen, all of Topeka; her sister-in-law, Patricia “Patty” Allen of Wichita, KS; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Tyrone Lewis; two daughters, Belinda Lewis and Brenda Holbert; and two brothers, Floyd Allen and Arbra Allen, Jr.

Eva enjoyed spending time with family (giving everyone their own nick name), cooking, gardening, garage sales, craw fishing, collecting cook books and aprons and watching murder mysteries and Animal Planet.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, July 17, 2020 at Dove Cremations & Funerals, Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave, Topeka. A private funeral service will be held later. Cremation will follow the service.
