God Bless You Cora. It was a blessing to know Ronnie. He told me That he had to go to the VA Hospital For an appointment. The Doctors wanted to talk to him about drinking brake fluid. He Said he could Stop anytime. Really Enjoyed His friendship. ~ Mark Dodge

Jerry and I always enjoyed talking to Ronnie and Cora when we'd see them at the VA Hospital. Then later, after Jerry was gone, I had good fellowship with Cora and Ronnie at Kansas Ave. Methodist meetings, and the Light of the World camp meeting last year and our bible study at The Pad. Ronnie always had a funny bible joke to tell. Will miss him. Lisa

Cora,
I am thinking about you during this time of loss. Ronnie was a one of a kind guy. He has made an imprint on my life and the lives of many other peoples lives at the VA. And I will never forget him. I feel comfort in knowing that his pain and suffering are over and he is at peace.

Dear Cora and family:
I was so surprised to hear of Ronnie's home going Sunday before last. I am so glad that I got to know him. He was always a blessing and so faithful. He never complained. I will not forget when he had given me some brushes and always encouraged me to paint. I regret that I did not get to show him what I had been painting. It was his encouragement and promptings that I was able to get the paints and brushes out and start a painting. I shall miss him and his awesome paintings that he would so proudly show off on Sundays. If not too much to ask, a momento of Ronnies that I may have to keep me encouraged to paint.
We are keeping you in our prayers and we love you very much.

The things I will most remember about Ronnie are is courage and sense of humor. Despite his various impediments he still seemed to live life to the fullest, and was always ready to display his dry wit. I’ll never forget the way he used to make me laugh.
Goodbye old buddy, I’ll miss you, Larry.
To the greatest painter and nicest and funniest guy with all the jokes keep the Lord laughing up there now Ronnie love you will always remember you, Marty.

Cora and and family- It was an honor and pleasure to know Ronnie through VA stroke group. I was constantly amazed at his ability to remember so many jokes! And his paintings got better and better all the time. They were really beautiful.
Cora, keep in touch. I hope and pray you and your family will bring comfort and support to each other.
Love, Suzy

Ronnie was a man who could talk with anyone, a man who was content to sit and talk about life. He was always ready with a witty joke or a great story. He was decorated for his service to our Nation during the War in Vietnam. He was a loving brother and husband and father. God rest his soul.

Cora, I will always have the fondest memories of Ronnie. Of course, his paintings are another of his wonderful legacies. His humor was the corniest, always leaving me with a head shake and a smile. All of his VA family will miss him. I am just delighted to have met this faith-filled man and to be counted as one of his friends. We all know our passing can come at any time; but I thought I would get to see him at least one more time. I was looking forward to taking him out to lunch . It was my turn to buy! You will be in my prayers, dear lady.
