Patricia L. "Pat" Land
1929 - 2020

Patricia L. “Pat” Land, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at a Topeka care facility. She was born on December 8, 1929 in Nelson, Missouri, the daughter of Paul W. and Marie (Petry) Barnes.

Pat retired from Martin Tractor Company Topeka after 30 years. She was a star point guard on her high school basketball team and loved watching college and pro, men and women’s teams. She loved all kinds of music and played piano by ear from an early age. She loved poetry and created special poems for family and friends.

Pat was sweet, kind, gentle, never a harsh word to or about anyone…true peacemaker. We will dearly miss her and hold in our hearts her loving spirit and admirable example of patience, strength and courage.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd E. “Woody” Land.

Pat leaves behind one son Gary, a daughter Debbie, granddaughter Rachael, and three grandsons Dylan, Dawson, and Jordan.

God bless our health care heroes and hospice angels.

As per Pat’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no memorial services are planned. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
