Gladys Bollinger, 88, Topeka, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 due to COVID-19 at Plaza West Healthcare.
Gladys was born November 22, 1931 in Serena, LA, the daughter of Benjamin and Emily (Barron) Dougan. She was raised and attended schools in central Louisiana.
She was employed as a PBX Operator at St. Francis Hospital for many years.
She was Baptist all her life but attended Countryside United Methodist Church shortly before moving into a nursing home.
Gladys enjoyed gardening, creative sewing and crafts, loved helping and cooking for others, and was very much a warm hearted caregiver.
Survivors include daughters, Linda Vaughan of Northern, California, Emily Ramsey (Tom) of Auburn, Kansas; son, Robert Bollinger (Robin), Las Vegas, Nevada; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ethel Frances; brother, Richard Dougan; twin-brother, Robert Lee Dougan; and grandson, Wade Ramsey.
Private funeral services will be held at Dove Southwest Chapel with burial to follow in West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
