James Edward Anderson, III, 19, of Topeka went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. He was born on February 16, 2001 in Topeka to DaShanta M. Holmes and James E Anderson Jr.

James graduated from Highland Park High School class of 2020. He worked in sanitation for a large food manufacturing plant located in Topeka. James gave his life to Christ and was baptized at an early age at The New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church and was very active with being a part of the Jr. Deacons and being the Pastor’s armor bearer. He had a strong passion for sports, movies, and was very passionate about music. He always made sure that he had everyone around him smiling.

James resided with his Great Grandparents, Doris J. Henderson and Billy J. Henderson. James also loved living with his Great Aunt Lizzie “Baby” Banks in Wichita until the official adoption to his Great Grandparents.

James will lie in state from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private services will be held at The New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church and burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
