Frank J. Griffin, Jr., 90, of Topeka, peacefully passed from this earth on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at home. He was born October 25, 1930 in Topeka, the son of Frank and Vera (Gerard) Griffin.

Frank graduated from Topeka High School in 1948. He was very athletic in his youth. He was employed by Adams Business Forms, the Topeka State Hospital, and retired from the Topeka Capital Journal in 1995.

Frank was always active. He loved to work with his hands which included home remodeling and home décor. He was a “Jack of all trades”. After retirement, he worked part time at Roach Hardware in north Topeka for several years.

Frank married Barbara J. Wangerin on December 19, 1970 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include children, Dale Griffin, Tom Griffin, Shirley Riley, Larry Griffin, Mike Griffin and Peggy Locey, stepson, Brad Wangerin, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and his sister, Doris Allen.

Frank had a wonderful sense of humor and was loved and will be greatly missed.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2021 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Berryton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
