Patricia Grace Southall, 97, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021.

She was born September 23, 1923, in Lincoln, Nebraska, the daughter of Francis R. and Lucile (Mingo) Grace. Her family moved to Topeka and she graduated from Topeka High School in 1941. She then worked for Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco, California, Colorado National Bank in Denver and retired from Heumann and Associates in Topeka after 30 years service.

Patricia married William A. Southall on July 15, 1947 and traveled with her husband while he was working for a personnel consulting firm in Chicago. Their travels took them to major cities in the United States and they lived in Iran for six years while he prepared personnel surveys and job evaluations for the oil companies. After their return to the United States they returned to Topeka to raise their family.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Cope of Topeka; grandchildren Lisa Germann (B.J.) of Olathe, Sarah Yewell (Skylar) of Lawrence and Justin Cope and Kacie Mandel (Daniel) of Topeka; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her son Wm. Michael Southall; and her sisters Frances King and Mary Teresa Fitzgerald.

Patricia enjoyed her cat, beer and bird watching.

Patricia was cremated. A memorial ceremony will be held on Friday, April 9th at 11:00 AM at Mount Hope Cemetery and Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th, Topeka, Kansas 66604. Interment of the cremated remains will be in the mausoleum at Mount Hope Cemetery and Funeral Chapel in Topeka, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society 5720 SW 21st, Topeka, KS, 66604-3720 or any other animal rescue group.
