Yvonne Patricia “Aunt Patty” Paradis, 76, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at McCrite’s.

Patty was born June 30, 1944 in Casper, WY, the daughter of Orville and Vonda (Bendrix) Paradis.

Being the daughter of a career Air Force Sergeant, she and her brothers grew up in various locations, including Japan, California, and finally settling in Topeka. She graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1962 and attended Kansas State University.

She studied Ballet Dancing in Topeka and New York.

She was employed as a Ward Clerk at St. Francis Hospital for over 35 years.

Aunt Patty loved traveling, the ocean, and often took her nieces with her to South Padre Island, New York, and San Francisco. Her journeys took her to Hawaii where she met her idol, Elvis Presley and was a lifelong Elvis fan.

Survivors include brother, Greg (Wendy) Paradis, Lawrence; nieces, Jenna (Vic) Riggin, Grantville, Kara Paradis, Overland Park; nephews, Brock (Stacey) Paradis, Chicago, IL, Justin Paradis, Lenexa; and the lights of her life, great-nephew, Kyle Riggin and great-niece, Addison Riggin; and newly adopted “George” the Cat who was by Aunt Patty’s side till the very end.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother, Ron Paradis; and her beloved dogs, Sheba, Princess, Panther, Bershivers and Geronimo.

Aunt Patty had an undying passion for her two nieces, Jenna & Kara who she spoiled unconditionally along with never meeting a stranger and always willing to help out all God’s creatures.

Cremation has taken place and no public services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saving Death Row Dogs, PO Box 67671, Topeka, KS 66667.
