Edna C. Vass, 96, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at her daughter's residence in Topeka. She was born March 20, 1925 in Ridgewood, New York, the daughter of Fred and Anna C. (Hunn) Boyden.
Edna was employed by Mayflower Moving & Storage in St. Petersburg for many years before retiring.
Edna married James R. Vass. They were married for 72 years. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2014. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Janet Lorrian and her son, James Robert Vass, Jr. on July 4, 1964.
Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Saiya of Topeka, two grandsons, James and Daniel and eight great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and no memorial services are planned. Private inurnment will take place in St. Petersburg, Florida at a later date.
