Steve Leon Hillard, 77, of Topeka, passed away on July 18, 2021 at in Topeka.

He was born on October 3, 1943 to Olen Glen and Jessie Irene King Hillard in Hillsdale, Michigan.

Steve worked for Stormont Vail Hospital. He later worked for the Juvenile Correctional Facility as a Teacher where he retired.

On August 1, 2008 he married Luz Hillard-Nieto in Colombia.
He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Steve is survived by his loving Wife, Luz; Four Daughters, Lina Romero-Canon and her spouse Hugo, Luz Angela Bautista-Canon and her spouse Carlos, Ana Maria Gomez-Canon and her spouse Carlos, and Kerry Johnson-Hillard and her spouse Ron; and their beloved 7 grandchildren who were the light of his life.

He was preceded in death by his Sister, Carol Hillard.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Topeka. Graveside service will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
