the memories listed here are true to the Kim I knew when I met her working at KU years ago. One of the nicest people of all time. So sorry to hear of this.

Kimmy and I crossed paths about 13 yrs. Ago. I was raising a 3 yr. Old baby boy and a bright eyed 5 yr. Old little girl. I had never met a more beautiful, vivacious, kind hearted, genuine, funny , bright, caring soul as Kimmy. We were Fetty much inseparable from that point on. We all fell right in love with each other. We instantly became Kimmy's step family. She has stood by us through the thick and the thin all these years. Kimmy, I, the two children Allie and Drew and my daughter Sam had wonderful times, unforgettable. Kimmy helped nurture and teach all 3 children right by my side. Teaching to ride a skateboard and bikes to recently teaching the younger two to drive. My, have we had a good life with Kimmy. The laughs, smiles, tears, all wonderful. There are no words to describe the emptiness now, that we all are feeling without her. Together, she always told me, we can conquer anything. She was right and we did. She loved us so much, as we all loved her . She will always shine through in the children she helped raise, to be confident, strong adults that they are. She gave us her all everyday and she cherished our sweet little family we made, so much. Kimmy, we love you "to the moon Alice" she would always tell me. No one will ever replace you in our heart and souls. Never fill the emptiness . Thank you my love for sharing your beautiful self with the children and I. You are thought about every hour of every day. Your the greatest gift I've ever had. The kids send their love as I always love you. I will see you "up on the roof" soon. And until then, do the hustle darling. Always see your smile and hear your laugh.

Kim and I became friends through our involvement at First Community Church and remained close friends through high school and college. The last time I saw Kim was in Kansas was when we were taking a family trip west many years ago. It was so delightful to share a breakfast with her to catch up for a brief moment. She hadn't changed a bit and it was as if time had stood still. Her beautiful smile, contagious laughter, and zest for life will never be forgotten. Kim was perhaps one the kindest persons I have ever known. Everyone she came into contact with was touched by this kindness. The world is a better place because of our dear friend Kim. My thoughts and prayers are with the Yoder family and those whose lives she touched. I am holding my dear friend in much love and light.

I was a classmate of Kim at Upper Arlington HS. She was the nicest person I ever met. High school can be so tough, and kids so mean. Kim was always wonderful. After graduation I lost touch with her, but in a large class of so many I never forgot her many acts of kindness. I'm so sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sincerely, Mike

I simply adored Kim during our high school and college years together. She was such a bright light -- warm, loving, intelligent, thoughtful, and supportive of everyone she encountered. She was a true Angel and we will miss her. She traveled this earth with grace and left it always better than she found it.

I am just heartbroken at this news. Kim and I grew up together and she was one of my best friends through high school. I will never forget her kindness and her sweet smile and twinkling eyes. She was truly one of the kindest people I've known. Though we lost track of eachother over the many years since then, we reconnected a few years ago in Ohio when her mom moved into the same retirement community as my mom. Our moms had become dear friends and it was such a delight to them and to us that we all got to reconnect. We didn't know it at the time, but mom was developing Alzheimer's and Kim's mom as also quite sick--in fact, Kim had spent a year or so as I recall living with her mom in FL working to help her rehab. Our moms time together was short, but I was always grateful to get to see Kim again, and she hadn't changed a bit. My heart goes out to all those in her life, as the world has truly lost a bright light and way too soon.

I loved Kim and have great memories of playing tennis with her at Northam park. Imagine my surprise when I learned she was living in Kansas near me and we were both respiratory therapists! I am so sorry she is gone. My condolences to all of you. Julie Ferris Ray

I will never forget Kim’s beautiful smile and kind heart. Kim and I were friends in high school and beyond. We rode our bikes together and often stopped at what used to be Tuller’s Fruit Farm to grab a homemade donut. We rode TOSRV together and encouraged each other for the 2-day 200 mile bicycle tour ride from Columbus to Portsmouth and back the next day. We had a lot of fun and a lot of good laughs together, but what I remember most about Kim Yoder was how kind and loving she was. Kim was and always will be one of my favorite people. Hugs and love to her family and especially to you Kyle.
