James O. McDaniel, 93, of Topeka, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021.

He was born September 26, 1927, in Topeka, KS, the son of Ralph W. and Evelyn W. (Moses) McDaniel.

He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his children, Dierk (Sue) McDaniel of Lawrence, KS and Diane (Reagan) Lamb of Port St. Lucie, FL; his grandchildren, Dr. Lindsey McDaniel, Ryan McDaniel and Kent (Kate) Blosser.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, his parents and a brother, Robert McDaniel.

James enjoyed wood working and playing golf.

Honoring James request, cremation is planned. No service have been scheduled at this time.

Entombment of James’s cremated remains will take place at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, KS 66606.
