Joshua James “Josh” Lacey, 42, Topeka, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 22, 2021.

Josh was born January 28, 1979 in Topeka, the son of Floyd and Donna (Ledbetter) Lacey.
He attended Topeka West High School, Kaw Area Technical School, and Washburn University. He was briefly in the U.S. Air Force.

He enjoyed reading, astronomy, playing games, golf, bowling and taking walks. He traveled widely through his reading, along with physically traveling to various states in the USA. He greatly enjoyed time spent at Sunshine Connection and time spent with fellow tenants at Tanglewood - they will miss his caring spirit and big smile.

He was a member of the Topeka Reformed Presbyterian Church in his youth and later attended Southwest Christian Church.

Survivors include his parents, Topeka; sister, Katharine Cook and her children - Kyleigha, Kaitlynn, and Wyatt, Berryton; grandmother, Ellen Lacey, Holton; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. The family will receive friends following the service.
