Marci L. Daugherty, 53, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 at a Topeka hospital. She was born July 31, 1968 in Wichita, the daughter of John R. and Mary L. (Krueger) Higgins.
Marci graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1986 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Washburn University in 1991. She was employed by Street Corner and Jim Garrison State Farm. She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Marci married Mike Daugherty on October 12, 1996 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include children, Lacy (Andrew) Weber, Hannah Daugherty and Hayli Daugherty, two grandsons, Preston and Theodore, and her sister, Wendi Morris.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the KSU Cancer Center, 1 Chalmers Hall, Manhattan, Kansas 66506.
