Kimberly M. Akins, 49, of Topeka, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at a Topeka hospital. She was born April 29, 1972 in Topeka, the daughter of Brenda L. Akins.

Kimberly graduated from Highland Park High School. She was employed by the State of Kansas.

Survivors include her aunts, Saundra L. Harding of Topeka, Wanda L. Akins-Gregory of Denver, Colorado, uncles, Leland E. Akins of Duncanville, Texas and Clyde W. Akins of DeSoto, Texas and a host of extended family and friends.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her mother and her uncle, Foy Akins.

Cremation has taken place and private inurnment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date.

Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with arrangements.
